Snow Baby

She takes baby steps along the trail, carefully gliding forward, one foot at a time. Without fear, she inhales winter's crispclean air and strives to keep her balance. That was then. Now , at 3 1/2- years-old, she finds her stride on pristine, snow white slopes, determined to cross each area with ease. Inhaling and exhaling, she explores the wonders of winter life with delight.

She breathes in
Winter's crispclean air.
Awaiting a world of
Possibilities.

    1. Thanks for joining me here this morning, Bob. Because I had an important doctor's appointment in NYC yesterday afternoon, I had to slice late in the evening. The pressure to get everything done for our move to Virginia is weighing heavily on us this month. Perhaps, these thoughts will be a future slice. Have a great day. We may have snow again.

  2. This is so cute. I didn't even know they made skis for such little kids.

  3. I did not expect a tot on skis from your teaser; the surprise is delightful! I didn't get my first real taste of snow until my teens, so I'm a mite jealous. What a lifetime of exploration she has ahead!

    1. Thanks, Chris, for stopping by. Unfortunately, I did not get on skis until grad school and then a young ski patrolman took a jump and landed on my leg. I broke it of course and was in a hospital away from my early teaching career. Needless to say, I could never ski again. When my granddaughter goes skiing, I will enjoy nature by walking.

  4. She's so brave! I never had the guts to ski. After my foot injury in 2019, I doubt I ever will. Therefore, please keep sharing pictures of your tiny skiier. She's adorable!

    1. Thanks for checking out my little one who is quite the little athlete. Her baby sister hopefully will look like this next winter when she can walk on her own. I hope your foot is mending.
