As the sun arrives so does peace.

It is the 2nd day of the winter storm in Northern Virginia. Under the blankets of snow there is ice. We all hear the announcements to be careful. I switch my attention to the beauty of a snowy landscape and send my wishes and blog post to Two Writing Teachers, a place for reflective educators and writers around the globe.

Enjoy those very well deserved snow days as ice is a REAL issue for people as well as vehicles!
ReplyDeleteCarol, there is beauty in a snowfall and you have captured that beauty with your poems. There is a special peace and quiet that covers the earth when snow falls. Snow, falling quietly, evokes peace. Bob
ReplyDeleteBob, I agree with you that this snowfall offered peace and quiet. Its cold outside and everyone is trying to find something to do. I am swamped with decorations that need to be boxed and put away.
DeleteThere is something so incredibly peaceful about the snow. I love the hygge feelings of warmth inside and cold outside and of safety from the storm.
ReplyDeleteKim, now if I could carefully place all the Christmas decorations throughout the house in my garage's designated space I would feel more of the hygee comfort. I do love that word you used.
