What a lovely post!! Thanks for the beauty and inspiration, and thanks for hosting this week!! Happy Valentine's Day. :)
ReplyDeleteJama, since it is rainy outside and there will be a Super Bowl party soon, I feel like baking coconut almond cookies dipped in chocolate and decorate the house for the upcomingValentine's Day!
DeleteThank you for sharing all these lovely heartnotes, Carol - and for hosting. As I read I could feel myself slowing down and pausing to savour.
ReplyDeleteI have been under the weather with a respiratory infection this week Sally so slowing down has been a must. I spend severals hours sleeping than wake thinking of all that I have to do. I am weary of this and look forward to getting energy back. We shall continue sharing our OLW from one of the world to another.
DeleteCarol, your post positively exudes love! Those beautiful postcards show how much your poetry friends adore you, and your swirling heartnotes make me smile! Happy pre-Valentine’s Day! : )
ReplyDeleteTracey, thank you for the lovely comment. I am in the Valentine mode and ready to decorate the house and make some heartnotes for my little grandgirls. Have a wonderful day.
DeleteThanks for wrapping us in beauty and pause in your gorgeous post Carol! I especially like your "heart notes," the swirling and the stardust loveliness of it all! Thanks also for hosting– Happiest of Valentine's Day Wishes!
ReplyDeleteMichelle, I have to thank you for your beautiful New Year postcard. I was especially happy to receive it with your new black paper look. Love it. I am late with a response to your 12th Annual February Poem Project prompt (got a respiratory infection that is slowing me down).
DeleteOooh - a "stardusted night" - a lovely place to put all this swirling goodness and poem-love, Carol! Thank you for hosting us all, for showcasing so many wonderful postcards, and for the invitation to pause and breathe.
ReplyDeleteHappy Valentine's Day! XO
I am definitiely in pause mode, Robyn, with this respiratory infection I have. I am going to enjoy the pause and catch up. Enjoy your Valentine's Day. I think I shall make heartnotes for my little grandgirls.
DeleteCarol, thank you for hosting today. What a joyful post. So much love "sweeping across the sky for delivery" these days! Your pause poem is refreshing and peaceful. I love the sound of "standstill intentionally." Keep up the healthy pause.
ReplyDeleteDenise, your last line above is timely. I am trying to bring a healthy me back together from a respiratory illness so positive thoughts are powerful.
DeleteOne intentional moment can do so much, Carol. Thanks for sharing this, and thank you for hosting!
ReplyDeleteI am in the moment, Matt. Thanks for your thoughts.
DeleteOh, Carol, Your post is so full of love! Isn't it fun to receive that wonderful and thoughtful mail! Thanks for sharing and hosting!
ReplyDeleteLinda, I hope these winter days are allowing you the pause we all need. I send sweet valentine thoughts to you and hope you share sweet ones with your grandgirls. (BTW, they are growing into lovely pre-teens.)
DeleteA visit to your blog is always like a warm hug, Carol. Thank you for sharing the postcard love you received. I think Denise's acrostic describes you spot on: "Carol the Greater"! Thanks for hosting and happy Valentine's Day! :)
ReplyDeleteBridget, thanks for the generous comment. Denise was so thoughtful when writing her poem about me. Happy Valentine's Day to you also.
DeleteWhat a joyous and love-filled post, Carol, and certainly lovely to wake to this morning. I can feel those heartnotes swirling through the stardusted sky. Thank you for the love and for hosting today.
ReplyDeleteOops! Sorry that came up as anonymous. It's Rose.
DeleteRose, this morning's sky is far from stardusted. It is rainsoaked gray and I feel its pause. A warm fireside day sounds in order.
DeleteThank you for the delivery of heartnotes, Carol, and for hosting! Happy Valentine's Day!
ReplyDeleteTabatha, thank you for joining me here and sending me a wonderful New Year postcard for my collection.
DeleteDear Carol, thank you for the heartnotes! And I love Denise's poem for you...perfect!! Thanks for all you give our community. xo
ReplyDeleteIrene, Denise was generous with her remarks and I am humbled by her thoughts. May heartnotes fill your Valentine's Day.
Delete"Breathe out love." Love that. Thanks for hosting. Happy Valentines and Galentines Day to everyone!
ReplyDeleteMarcie, this gray sky and rainy weather seems eerie as I wake but then I look out at the patio glistening and the birds swiftly flying to my neighbor's birdfeeder. Instead of a gloomy approach to the day, I pause to cuddle inside. I hope you are enjoying this day as well.
DeleteI love your Winter Valentine and the invitation to pause. Thanks for filling this space with lovely poems and the joy of poetry postcards. Mine have also been bright spots in my days!
ReplyDeleteMolly, hosting PF is such a fun way to connect with friends that are far away. I am wondering if your morning is a winter-wonderland photo. Mine is a rainy-day surprise.
DeleteOops! I also meant to say-- thanks so much for hosting!
ReplyDeleteMany thanks.
DeleteIt's like a shoebox mailbox filled with valentines from friends! I especially love the swirling heartnotes on stardusted nights. Thank you for hosting, Carol!
ReplyDeleteLaura, since it is raining today, I feel like creating heartnotes and cookies for my little grandgirls. Thanks for reminding me of the days when we made our own Valentine mailboxes for class heartnote swaps.
DeleteOoh..."one winter moment..." I'm having one of those - this whole week - in the mountains and immersed in writing. Thank you for hosting, Carol.
ReplyDeletePatricia, this week I needed to listen to the wind whistling and watch the birds fly to the my neighbor's feeder from inside. It seems winter had its plan for me to pause. A strange respiratory infection has me hombound. Enjoy writing. I hope I can go back to my unfinished poems.
DeleteThank you for the Valentine poem that begins your post. It was just what I needed to hear! Thanks for hosting! (I can't believe I almost forgot to link in!!)
ReplyDeleteMary Lee, I hope you continue to pause on these gloomy winter days. Even the raindrops glisten and the birds find the feeders.
DeleteCarol, You are the hostess with the mostess. I've been loving the postcard exchange. Somehow each postcard has been timed to come on a different day so I've been anticipating the mail each day. We have the strange coincidence of Mardi Gras, Valentine's Day, and Ash Wednesday. It made for a strange school day on Friday with Mardi Gras parades and Valentine's Day parties.
ReplyDeleteMargaret, I do love the postcard exchange. It was fun to be surprised each day the mail came. I even got 2 more since I wrote my blog. Have a wonderful Valentine's Day with the grandchildren.
DeleteCarol, your blog is always a warm and welcoming spot. ❤️ Thanks for hosting, and I hope you're feeling better!
ReplyDeleteKaren, thank you for the comment and the get well wish.. It is appreciated. I wish I could say that I am better but this infection is lingering. Tea and honey seems to calm down the coughing.
