Are you gearing up for the start of school with a positive attitude? Or are you like the 6th grader at the beach who is trying to read her required book for the first day of school - rushing in at the end to complete the task?
The summer is moving on at such a fast pace that I want to slow it down, savor the last days of summertime, and wind-up some projects I started. I feel a sigh of relief each time I finish something that has been on my mind. But then, there are the nagging thoughts surfacing. How do I capture the last days of summer? I can't get enough of summer! Are you like that?

- It's time to continue to enjoy ocean walks, beautiful sunsets, and scenic trails. -
Enjoy your last summer days before Labor Day.
Capture them in photos.
I will continue to embrace the summer spirit and hope you do, too.

You can find more relaxing photos in my #EmbraceableSummer Gallery collection at Twitter.
The gallery will be unveiled in the near future. If interested, you can send me a digital of the way you are embracing the last summer days.
It's Slice of Life Tuesday at Two Writing Teachers.
I checked out the hashtag on Twitter. I adored so many of them. My favorite -- if I'm going to try to choose one that captivated me the most -- was the sunset of Lake Ontario-Oswego, NY. It's a place I've never been, but now that I've seen it, I want to go!
ReplyDeleteWait until you see the entire collection in a gallery design. I have not loaded up the whole collection. You can see last summer's gallery at https://beyondliteracylink.blogspot.com/2018/10/unveiling-of-art-of-summering-gallery.html. I appreciate that you stopped by, Stacey.
DeleteI am looking forward to the school year starting - I'm ready for some routine! - but mourning summer's passing, too. Wondering which photo I should share - that's helping me think about how to enjoy these last few days...
ReplyDeleteThe photo you sent me is simply beautiful. The colors in the sky are amazing. I often wonder how the sky changes colors depending on the location or is it dependent on the weather. I should check Wonderopolis for some information. Thanks for stopping by Amanda and sending in a photo. I left you a message on DM.
DeleteI, too, am mourning the end of summer! However, I am eager for school to begin. Thank you for sharing some calm!
ReplyDeleteI am so happy that I can offer the world a bit of summer via my Embraceable Summer Gallery collection, Trina. It helps me savor summer moments. Send me a digital of how you and your family embrace summer for the collection.
DeleteToo late to hold on to summer... we’ve been in school for weeks already! We do have the long weekend, and some good weather to look forward to after some rainy and muggy weekdays.

ReplyDeleteI was visiting my granddaughter in Reston last week so I know what you mean about muggy weather, Diane. We saw signs of school in session every place we went. You can still enjoy this summer weekend if the weather allows it.
DeleteI'm looking forward to some time on the porch in the rocking chair reading my latest book club book and savoring every last moment of summer evenings as the days shorten.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds wonderful, Ramona. I opened the windows tonight and I am listening to the sounds of a summer night. It is so peaceful reading and writing.
