Nature at Peace

In the silence of evening, stillness evokes peace. Nature floats in the quietude until the morning breaks. At that time, the world stretches its arms, unfolds its layers, and renews another day.
This morning I pause with prayer waiting for a sliver of light to break through the darkness. "Satisfy us in the morning with your unfailing love, that we may sing for joy and be glad all our days. -  Psalm 90:14
morning breaks
slivers of light unfold darkness
earth sings its praises
gentle winds bring renewed thoughts
nature spreads its seeds of joy

If you have not heard Morning Has Broken by Cat Stevens, it is one of my favorite songs. (Beautiful song sung at my wedding)

Today is Poetry Friday and I am delighted that I woke early to write my post.
Janice Scully is our host today. She honors Women's History Month with pride.

  1. Carol, glad to see you here. My thoughts and prayers remain with you. There is a peace that evening brings with it. Gratitude for making it through the day and a prayer for a better one tomorrow. That first sliver of light in the morning is like hope in Pandora's Box. The light is there to guide us. Bob

    1. Bob, I am sitting in the hydration center with my husband. It seems that this pre-treatment is working for him. We will go to the Cancer Center 3 days each week prior to the radiation treatment in April. I appreciate your support and prayers and love your thoughts on gratitude to make it through another day and prayer for tomorrow. Have a wonderful weekend.

    1. Amanda, thank you for your wishes for a new light streaming in next week. I find this time of quiet in the Cancer Center a blessing. My husband is getting his hydration and I a time to read and respond to slices.
