I welcome a new season into the world but am perplexed that it rushed in with loud whooshes of wind. Night winds turned into early morning winds with slower speed and different swirling sounds. It was then that I realized it was Day 2 of the new season of renewal. Did Mother Nature open its azure skies to remind me, and the world, that "When one flower blooms, spring awakens everywhere" (Walter C. Hagen)?
Life is fragile, uncertain, and when you least expect it becomes a bump in the journey. I am in the middle of a unexpected happening that is gushing with whooshing winds. Yet, the beginning of spring soothes my soul. Holding on to the idea of spring, a season of renewal, alters the fragility and uncertainty of life. Spring becomes the magical potion for a spiritual awakening.
Carol,
ReplyDeleteI’m glad spring has arrived on the calendar. Now if we could just get her to show her warm face I could bear the world’s metaphor winds a bit better.
The spring sure has a way to give hope and strength. Poems too.
ReplyDeleteCarol, spring brings hope, something we all need to cling to when life becomes bumpy. A new season brings new wonders for us to enjoy. It reminds us that even on dark days, there is light. Wising you the best. Bob
ReplyDeleteHooray for Spring! Thanks for the invitation to celebrate the season, Carol.
ReplyDeleteRose, spring is smiling with bright sunshine today BUT it fooled us as we sat outdoors with our cousins who were visiting. I am taking a deep breath with Spring. Wishes to you!
DeleteCarol, I'm hoping your whooshing winds settle down and Spring does help soothe your soul.
ReplyDeleteSpring's gonna do what Spring's gonna do -- whether that's whooshing winds, or bright sun, or frost on the windshield. But no matter what, nothing NOTHING is stopping her!
ReplyDeleteLove the invitation and these words from your post: "Spring becomes the magical potion for a spiritual awakening." Just wanted you to know that prayers continue for your husband and you. Hugs, Carol!
ReplyDeleteOh, those bumps. I'm wishing you love and poetry to help weather those whooshing winds, Carol!
ReplyDeleteIt's feeling very un-spring here - we currently have a rainfall warning in effect, with roaring winds, making it feel more like winter! But still, I can see the tiniest of buds on the tips of the branches - spring will come, no matter what.
