Nature always wears the colors of the spirit.
- Ralph Waldo Emerson
Those inspired by nature's healing touch seek harmony. Take a walk with me to connect with nature. Its spring colors are captured through thoughts and photography by Poetry Friday poets.
Pandemic Woes
nature sheds her tears
slushing through neighborhood streets-
mankind prays

I'm joining the Poetry Friday community this week at Michelle H. Barnes' blog. for the Poetry Friday Roundup. Michelle is sharing Nikki Grimes' new picture book, Southwest Sunrise, with picturesque images in verse illustrated by Wendell Minor. Nikki even has a writing challenge for all. Take a stroll over to her blog to read about Nikki's hot-off-the-press new book. Perhaps, you would share it with children during #remotelearning time.
I love that poetry is so varied; like these lovely contributions. Each showcasing different poetic devices and scenes from nature. The poetry is like a breath of fresh air.

ReplyDeleteWe need breaks from worries, Linda. I just spent the entire day on important household tasks that are stressful. I couldn't wait to sit back down to read PF posts. Thanks for adding a comment that nature dispenses spoonfuls of comfort and healing. Have a good weekend and I hope the snow is not coming your way. It is hitting Central NY where my sister lives.
