Nurturing Our Summer Souls Gallery, Poetry Friday Edition

Recalling the warmth of summer and the dazzle of a brilliant sun, I fell in love with Summer 2021. For me, "Summertime. It was a song. It was a season. I wondered if that season would ever live inside me" (Benjamin Alire Saenz) and so, I searched for beauty within the skies, sunsets across sunlit seas, and through others' words. The urge to honor the summer season caused me to create gallery collections of beauty as vibrant as gardens that we nurture. In reality as Jenny Glow states,  "We might think we are nurturing our garden, but of course, it’s our garden that is really nurturing us."

Be filled with nature-inspired thoughts for humankind!

  1. Wow! This is a post to come back to again and again...especially around February when I'm missing warm weather and waiting ever so impatiently for spring. I love that tiny sticker on the monarch butterfly! And, Sierra's poem and coloring. What a work of love this post is. Thank you!

    1. Linda, thank you for the early morning comment. Sierra will be proud to hear that you enjoyed her poem and coloring. Because the call for offerings has so many image poems and photographs, I need to compartmentalize the gallery into different sections. It is fun curating the work and deciding where the submissions go. Thanks for always being a supporter, Linda.

    1. Janice, I live in Virginia now so the extreme opposite of Long Island is what I observe daily. The countryside is close by and some hilly areas and mountains bordering WV and VA. I am constantly looking at different types of nature sites. Sadly, there is no ocean or beaches nearby but the creek down the street had a beautiful nature trail. I am eager to find fall in these places and ask others to do so to create a tribute to Mother Nature who provides such vibrant settings. Please consider creating an autumn image of a Syracuse or Central NY sight to share in an upcoming fall gallery.
