Remembering the
sand between toes,
lazy days of
glorious blue
washing the beach-
Remembering the
circling gulls,
dipping & dancing
back and forth-
Remembering the
lulling noise of
foaming waves,
crashing and
splashing against shore-
Long Island's summer
drifts on by,
under warming sun,
waiting to transition
to season's ending goodby.
