This has been a whirlwind week of celebrations from the unveiling of my seventh gallery of artistic expressions, Summer Splashings, to Dot Day 15, and to walks along the beach with a gorgeous backdrop of lingering summer weather and brilliant sunshine.
Even Olaf from Frozen loves the idea of summer.
So many Long Islanders were out on the Long Beach Boardwalk today celebrating life, fitness, and sunshine. While we may have thought that Mother Nature was waving her hand for a transitional season to come to be, today she allowed us yet another glimpse of seashore sun and roaring waves. Surfers were out riding the waves while crossfit competitions were happening on the boardwalk. Vendors were displaying their wares from health food to exercise gear; music was everywhere and the weather continued to heat up the afternoon. The Atlantic Ocean was the perfect backdrop for a day filled with excitement and warmth.
Looking at the picture of Olaf above seems to be a far-removed image. The weathermen were noting today that this will be a warm season for Long Island right up to December. A drought is also suspected. In the meantime, I will capitalize on the wonder of life and the feeling of an endless summer.
The beach is a go-to place to watch children frolicking in the waves.
Keeping the memories of summertime
alive will be easy with walks along the shore.
Now please visit Ruth Ayres Celebration This Week where she shares a beautiful digital inspiration and is celebrating 100 posts. Congratulations to Ruth!
