Today marks the near end of Two Writing Teacher's March Slice of Life Story Challenge. The journey has been filled with many stops along the way: greeting new friends, chatting with already acquainted slicers, and alone time to write and share. I'm feeling grateful for this opportunity and the quiet time tonight. Below is a found poem created from eleven of my March Musing 2020 series titles. I added in some of my digital art and nature photography.
The weather is chilled but I
walk lonely streets finding peace,Watching nature at bloom.
I reflect on a gray day.
My March Musings pass on by.
Mesmerized by roads, I pen
A thought to live by mantra.
- Traveling home, tensions mount.
- Social distancing is real.
- Dear spring buds, what is normal?

Each year since March 2015, I have engaged in Two Writing Teacher's Annual Slice of Life Story Challenge. Slicing allows me to ponder life, literacy, and learning, capturing small moments poetically through writing, photography, and digital art. Welcome to Day 30 of 31 days of writing with Two Writing Teachers.
That's a clever idea that made a great poem! This has been a fun month! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you, Debbie. This has been a fun month indeed. If you send me your Twitter handle we can continue our social media friendship.
DeleteMine: @cvarsalona I don't know what your blog site is.
DeleteI like how your titles work together to seamlessly flow into a poem that transitions from peace to tension.
ReplyDeleteChallenging myself to try something new may be difficult but it is like a puzzle finding its way to completion. One more day and then a hole month to be creative with poetry. It has been fun writing alongside you this month.
DeleteSuch an interesting way to gather words for your post today. Love the idea!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Betsy. I have been trying to move beyond my comfort zone and choosing formats that challenge me.
