Ending Thoughts_SOLSC 31

Once upon a time, there were:
31 days of writing,
31 slices of thoughts,
March Musings 2020,
Floating from my laptop
Out to the world of social media.

During March 2020, I experienced:

E  very day in April for National Poetry Month writing.

Today, I'm celebrating writing with my global community of slicer friends. Congratulations to all of us. We did it! We sliced, corresponded, commented, shared our writing. While the journey was tough during the trying times of COVID-19, we made it to the end!

Thank you to Two Writing Teachers for the opportunity to write daily this month.

Each year since March 2015, I have engaged in Two Writing Teacher's Annual Slice of Life Story Challenge. Slicing allows me to ponder life, literacy, and learning, capturing small moments poetically through writing, photography, and digital art. Welcome to the Last Day of 31 days writing with Two Writing Teachers

  1. 31 days of reconnecting with old friends and making new ones. So much to celebrate. Each year I marvel and am inspired by what others have written. Reading each post is like opening a present.

    1. So, are we considered old friends now but not "old" in the age-sense way. We have corresponded and I felt that we have built a stronger writing relationship since I traveled to Hershey in November. I hope you check out my post tomorrow because I think you will be interested in joining me to continue our journey during #QuarantineLife.

  3. Of course there's a beautiful, colorful image with a thought-provoking verse - I love thinking of the swirl of thoughts "looking for a landing pad." Writing IS a journey - an adventure - I could not be more grateful to have you as a fellow sojourner, Carol. You bring the beauty with you wherever you go - I think it follows you! I know you'll have wonders in store for Nature Nurtures. Can't wait to partake.

  4. Wow, I love this acrostic poem and how thoughtful you were with your word choice. I'm definitely saving this as a mentor text. Thank you for sharing about Nature Nurtures- I've never heard of it but I am hoping to join!

    1. If you could add your name , I would like to respond to you directly instead of to Unknown. I appreciate that you deem my slice worthy as a mentor text. Nature Nurtures is a poetry project for April. I plan to introduce it tomorrow.

    1. Terje, I love our long-distance friendship. When words pop into my mind, I try to reel them in for clarity. Writing is my go to-passion.

  6. Your opening invokes a fairy tale, but it's your acrostic that turns a constricting form into unexpected magic. Thanks for sharing.

    1. Brian, you surely have a way with words. I would love to be an observer in your classroom (wonder when life will return to what we knew or at least a new fabrication of it).

  7. Yes, we did do it... all while it felt like the world was falling apart around us. So glad we could continue to connect this March, Carol! Thanks for being such a wonderful part of this writing community!

    1. Connecting is such an important piece, especially now, Stacey. Thanks for continuing to offer this wonderful community of writers. I think this year's challenge will always be remembered as so many of us documented our journey during very strange conditions.
